Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Ouarzazate.
We will start our desert trip from Agadir to Taroudant through the Berber oasis. Visit the ramparts of Taroudant and its Medina. Taroudant is a southwestern city in Morocco located in the Souss valley, lined with citrus plantation. Drive to Ouarzazate via Taliouine, crossing the Atlas Mountains and Ait ben Haddou visit. It is listed under UNESCO since 1987.
This is a beautiful small walled city that many recognize from its starring role in many films and TV. Well worth the side trip – cross the river on foot, up through the city gates and hike to the top for the views. In other words, Ait ben Kasbah became popular for movies sets such as Laurence of Arabia, Gladiator and Game of Thrones. There are few people living inside the Kasbah and listed under UNESCO since 1987.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa – Rissani – Merzouga.
Today, we drive to Sahara desert through Draa valley and Agdez. In other words, it means “resting place” is located on the old caravan route linking Marrakech and Toumboctou. After that, our desert tour from Agadir continues to the Sahara.
On this private tour, you’ll ride a camel to the dunes of Erg Chebbi and hike to the top of the highest dune for panoramic views across the desert. So, tonight will be our highlight, camel ride, sunset and sunrise on the Sahara which are memorable.
Day 3: Tour around Erg Chebbi dunes.
Option 1: Today, we will be touring around Merzouga area over the Dunes of Erg Chebbi to discover the traditional culture of the Nomads. Then, we visit the Gnawa music of Khamlia. Yes, it is a small village nearby Merzouga main town. We can deeply exlore the life of nomads.
Option 2: After breakfast, we depart to the south of Erg Chebbi. In other words, we arrive the mine location of Dinosaur teeth and bones. Yes, we spend time to wonder or dig. After that, we will go to Taouz to visit the antique city of Ouafilal and the desert painting.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades.
Enjoy the sunrise, we come back to Merzouga for breakfast and shower. Next, we continue to Dades through Rissani and Todra Gorges. On the way, we will pass through traditionel old Souk. The trip continues toTodra Gorges, one of the most impressive canyons in Morocco. It contains a panoramic view and Berber villages. Overnight in Dades.
Day 5: Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait ben Haddou – Atlas Mounatins – Marrakech.
We drive to Marrakech, Passing through Ouarzazate or Moroccan Hollywood and the High Atlas Mountains or Tizi N tichka pass. We visit Kasbah Taourirt and the universal Heritage Site of Ait ben Haddou Kasbah. It has been listed under UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Late evening, we arrive Marrakech.
